Where the standard is a little vague, or can be interpreted in more than one way, the entire open source community has historically followed OOo as the pacesetter (with updates to the ISO standard following later to clarify the fuzzy bits). ![]() MS has decided to interpret the standard in their own way. Why is this? OOo and LibreOffice adhere to the latest ODF standards, MS Office is a full version behind. technically you can say that they "support" it, but the reality is a lot different as bits of your document merrily go missing. it knows how to calculate the formula results just fine, but it deletes the formulas when it's done and simply inserts the results. I hope you didn't want your formulas because MS Offfice will strip them ALL out, and leave you with the last calculated value. they intentionally made it buggy and a complete mess.
